July – David’s Latest Finds

29 July 2016

It has been an exciting week since our new website went LIVE and we wish to
thank you for all your fabulous and very positive feedback. Over the coming months
we’ll be adding some fantastic new inns to innplaces.co.uk and here are our latest
recommendations for that perfect break away; a stylishly revamped village pub
in Kent, a wisteria-clad former farmhouse, and a timbered gem hidden away
in a National Trust village.

The Milk House Inn, Sissinghurst, Kent
Rescued and stylishly revamped in 2013 by Dane and Sarah Allchorne, the
Milk House Inn has a laid-back vibe, brilliant staff and crowd pleasing menus.
There are four light, spacious and very relaxing bedrooms upstairs and don’t
miss their hugely popular Milk Fest in August.

Pear Tree Inn, Whitley, Wiltshire
There is a studied air of rusticity to the mellow stone Pear Tree Inn, a pub that
would not be out of place on a country estate, set back from the village lane,
festooned with wisteria and surrounded by glorious gardens.  Sympathetically
renovated in 2015 after a slightly chequered history, here you will find good,
honest cooking and eight contemporary bedrooms.

The Sign of the Angel, Lacock, Wiltshire
Nestled in timeless Lacock, to many the perfect English village, the timber-framed
Sign of the Angel is a 15th-century wool merchant’s house and former coaching inn
oozing historic charm.  The atmosphere is relaxed and informal, there’s a great
seasonal lunch menu, and five cosy beamed rooms upstairs.
